20 years of Competitiveness Clusters

On December 4, the Ministry of Economy, Finance, and Industrial and Digital Sovereignty hosted the 20th anniversary celebration of the Competitiveness Clusters, bringing together the entire national innovation ecosystem: competitiveness clusters, innovative French companies, investors, and institutional players. This event, organized at the initiative of the Directorate-General for Enterprise (DGE) and the French Association of Competitiveness Clusters (AFPC), provided an opportunity to look back on two decades of structural actions in support of the economic and technological development of the regions.

GAIO : A collective response to OEM carbon requirements with Polymeris and elanova

Faced with growing demands from automotive manufacturers (OEMs) to reduce their carbon footprint, the plastics industry must accelerate its transformation. To support this transition, Polymeris has joined the new GAIO consortium as a founding member, alongside Elanova and Physis Solutions.
The goal is to develop a collective, structured, and operational response to help manufacturers measure, manage, and reduce their carbon impact.
 
Why create a consortium? A response to OEM carbon obligations
 
OEMs now require their suppliers to provide reliable environmental data, particularly the carbon value of parts and materials.
For many manufacturers, this data is complex to produce due to a lack of harmonized methodologies and appropriate tools.

Review of: 7th edition of S3: a European event for eco-plastics

On November 5 and 6, 2025, the 7th edition of S3, organized by Polymeris, was held at Matéri’Act in Villeurbanne in partnership with Axel’one. This European Congress dedicated to Eco-Plastics and sustainable, smart, and safe polymer materials brought together more than 80 participants, including about ten international attendees from the United Kingdom, Germany, the Netherlands, Sweden, Belgium, Saudi Arabia, and Italy.

Launch of “Poly'Connect & Innov”: a new format for themed meetings

As part of its technology roadmap, Polymeris is launching a new format of online meetings reserved for its members: Poly'Connect & Innov.

This format aims to bring members together around priority technological themes identified by experts from the cluster's Scientific Committee. The goal? To promote exchanges, showcase skills, and initiate collaborations that could lead to innovative projects supported by appropriate funding mechanisms.

The format is short (1 hour) and designed to encourage direct exchanges between participants.
